Ed Dales Coming Home 3 Conference Day1
May 22nd, 2010 | By Michael | Category: FunToday was the first official day of Ed Dales Coming Home conference here in San Diego.
Let me tell you it is a game changer. The amount of content is simply amazing, but more than
that is the connections. I am meeting some of the most terrific people at this conference.
The day kicked off at 9am and lasted until about 8pm…and after that everyone gathered to network and do dinner.
I didn’t wind up making it back to the hotel until 10:35pm and I think my group was one of the tamer ones.
The line up was:
Ed Dale <--Dropped some big news (I will tell you below)
"The Legendary" John Carlton <---Talked sales copy tactics
Lunch
Eugene <---Talked about Market Samurai
Caro <---Talked about using local business marketing to make a killing
"The Dreaded Hot Seat" <---They put audience members sales pages up on the big screen and then dissect them. (It took some brave souls to volunteer for this one...but a lot was learned by this exercise.)
Probably the biggest news of the day was what Ed covered in the beginning.
This years 30day challenge
will be starting on July 1st!
and
It's no longer a 30 day challenge. They are changing up their entire layout.
It will be 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 days on, etc.
In all I believe it will be around 49 actual days of working
and then the rest weeks in there to make it around a 3 month course.
This is massive news for those of you who have done the 30 day challenge in the past.
With these rest weeks it will really allow for the sites and work you have done to mature.
(Not to mention a time for people to recharge their batteries.)
This was big news in the industry, but I had actually heard this many months prior with
a meeting with Guru Bob. For me the true highlight was the great people I got to meet.
I got to talk with Mike Filsaime, Paul Colligan, Ed Dale, Guru Bob, Eugene Ware, Caro, Dan, John Carlton, and a few other big names!
If you ever get the chance to attend a great IM conference, no matter what stage of learning your in....DO IT!
The connections alone are worth it.
If I pick up just one measly connection from this trip then it will have paid for the trip ten fold!
I am shooting a lot of B-roll for you guys to show you a behind the scenes video and tomorrow I am filming
my interview with Ed Dale and hopefully Paul Colligan as well.
(Both will be uploaded onto YouTube later this week, once I get a chance to edit them.)
Wish you all could be here!

Great post.. Like the new look blog. I need to make money from the IM stuff so I can afford to go to the next conference!
That’s pretty cool that Ed Dale gets to do an interview with you! (He’s the one that gets the plug – You da man.)
Hey Michael,
Big news on the 30DC changes! As a 30DC veteran several years running, I think its a change for the good. I send anyone who asks me about learning internet marketing to Ed’s most excellent training but anyone who has experienced the 30DC knows it’s a bootcamp and keeping up the pace is hard work! I think this will allow challengers, especially the newbies to hang in there and keep up with the workload.
Thanks for the news and keep it coming!

Awesome Michael, simply awesome!
I wish one day I’ll be at the same place that you’re now. And thank you for all of your information, which you give for us. I took a lot of skills after reading this.
Best Regards,
Vitaly
Michael and Mike count their fingers after meeting at #30DCHome 3 :
I would love to hear more about Caro’s talk on local marketing
Thanks for the update Michael. Love all of your articles and vids…..even the Google Buzz vid…..which some people gave you some criticism on, but hey we all need a sense of humor. The new course outline for the 30DC is interesting news. Again thanks for the heads up.
Michael, Tx much for you update. San Diego is a great place to visit even if you were not attending a gathering. Sorry I can’t be there but your updates will be anxiously awaited.
The 30 day challenge changes sound very interesting. Did I miss it or hasn’t the name been officially decided upon.
I wish I can be there too…hopefully one day!
Yeah…nice blog too…
Thanks for keeping us in the loop. I was so bummed when I found out I could not attend! I’m going to start saving now for the next one! I can’t wait to see your videos.
I think this years 30DC will be a nice game changer. Changing up the event keeps the participants and the leaders on their toes. No matter how “seasoned” you are you can always walk away with some new and exciting tip, tool or technique.
Blessings,
Wendy
LOL..Haven’t you and Mike F got your fingers the wrong way wrong in the picture Mike, as that doesn’t mean peace where I come from? ;-)
Pete
Great meeting you Mike!
And thanks for the write up of the first day – I might stop taking notes now and just read yours :-)
Enjoyed our dinner conversation last night ;-)
Michelle
Thanks for the info Mike! Much appreciated – keep it coming.

I second the “learn more about local marketing from Caro.” I am doing all I can to increase Google 7 pack listings but am finding to be a frustrating process.
Still working through the 2009 30DC and looking forward to finally haven it completed. But the info is proving invaluable and I can’t wait for the new stuff
