Hello Everyone,

Ok this is NOT my finest hour as far as videos go!  It’s 4:18am and I pulled an all nighter.  The wife went over to visit the grandparents and I am a bachelor working late, not shaving and eating lots of pizza!  ;P

    And atleast un-shaven pits or legs don’t show up on the camera! ;P

    Hey Neybursguy,

    Thanks for the Traffic-Bug plug and I checked out your site.
    Very well done! ;)

    You seem to have a lot of content on there and a well put together site.

    Few recommendations:

    1) The type of people who will visit your site are NOT Internet Marketers or probably that website savy.
    So if your blog page is typically your landing page in the SERPs then I think a lot of traffic will be over whelmed by all that text
    and not seeing any products to buy. You don’t have that much time to grab a buyers attention. Perhaps thinking of ways to draw a customers attention to your product page would be worth the investment of time.

    2) Remember you should be building lists in absolutely any niche. It’s not just valuable to get customers email address in the IM niche but with any thing you do. Email lists of targeted traffic are gold mines. I would put together something free to offer your guests in exchange for a email and name. There are lots of potentially free things you could give to them. 77 Gift Ideas that your Kids will LOVE, Free Christmas ring tones, etc. Just do some searching on the web to get some ideas. It will take work to come up with something but if done right it will pay off in spades!

    Hello Darren,

    Yeah we are working hard on improving the category selection in Traffic-Bug.
    Actually we have a TON of new updates already in store…We will be releasing them all at the same time.

    We found it doesn’t work to just do one small update and throw it out there with some of this stuff….we need to do it right.

    So not only are we doubling our social bookmarking number, adding 50% more new fresh IP’s, adding almost 200,000 fresh dummy accounts, a massive new submsission rules but also more accurate category selection is included in this.

    This update is about 98% done we are just down to testing and waiting on these IP’s.

    I will try some things to draw buyers attention to my product pages when they hit the landing page!

    I like your ideas on building email lists and I understand the concept. I also think it would be fairly easy to come up with something to offer that they would sign up for.

    I don’t know how to collect the data once I get it and also I wouldn’t know what to do with it afterwards.

    Would I perhaps then begin to send out mass mailings with offers to my email listees?

    Sorry for all of the questions, but I really want to learn this stuff.

    Also, would Google consider this type of thing “spammy” and penalize me for it??

    Looks like some good ideas although I won’t be ordering the “search engine optimization newsletter” anytime soon. The newsletter sign-up redirected to a link for an SEO site screaming with lots of information. Screaming, highlighted text makes me hit a back button faster than you can say never-buy-anything-seo-from-someone-that-screams.
